Quest's subject matter experts assisted CSIS staff in reviewing security controls and planning for system upgrades. CSIS's global team of experts require a variety of telecommuting and collaboration solutions that present security challenges.
Quest Consultants is performing a comprehensive internal and external penetration test for the IAMAW. Testing will include a series of actions intended to identify and exploit vulnerabilities. Results from these tests will be compiled into a detailed report with recommendations for mitigating the vulnerabilities using technical and operational controls.
Quest provided the IRS CADE program with security engineering and architecture support including reviewing existing vulnerabilities, reviewing planned upgrades, and assisting with strategic planning for the future system modifications.
Through SRA International, Quest Consultants went onsite at the Ministry of Economics and Finance (MEF) in Port-au-Prince, Haiti. In the wake of the 2010 earthquake, the Ministry of Finance is one of the lynchpins in the country's national recovery. With the support of local server and network administration staff, Quest evaluated the confidentiality, integrity and availability of the Ministry of Finance's network operations center. Quest leveraged its bilingual capabilities to train senior Ministry IT staff on certification and accreditation (C&A) best practices, based on FIPS/NIST guidance. Quest also trained MEF networking staff on the use of an emergency telecommunications system-in-a-box (OODAKit), which includes walkie-talkie, telecom, and INMARSAT satellite uplink voice/data capabilities.
