The successful candidate will bring a range of experience working with enterprise information security concepts across a diverse set of technologies.
Specific technical skill sets that will be valuable in this position are:
- DB2 (SECADMIN and DB2 Connect)
- Unix/Linux/Mainframe operating systems
- Programming
- Other relational databases
The day to day work entails assisting a senior information security analyst with specific tasks such as preparing alternatives analyses, investigating technologies, and preparing presentations. Day to day activities will be closely guided by a senior staff member, however, the successful candidate will bring a strong individual work ethic to the team along with an exceptional ability to learn about new technologies.
The program is a long-term engagement and the ideal candidate will be prepared to work on this single effort for at least two years. The successful candidate will be required to be on-site (Lanham, MD) approximately three (3) days per week for client meetings. Telecommuting and flex-time is encouraged provided client requirements are met. Occasional travel to offices around the Metro area is expected as needed.
Candidates without a Bachelors degree but with substantial and relevant experience will be considered.
Certifications such as CISSP, SANS GIAC, and related programs are of value but are not required provided the candidate has sufficient education or experience. DB2 certification is particularly advantageous.
